Quiana Salazar-King, Director of Community Engagement for the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center, will speak to us about the NMILC’s work, mission, services, and opportunities for involvement. Their mission is to advance justice and equity by empowering low-income immigrant communities throughout New Mexico through direct legal services, education, and advocacy. All of their services are provided free of cost to clients. Their legal services cover the entire spectrum of humanitarian based immigration relief.
For more than a decade, the NMILC has worked to provide legal assistance and resources to build off of the resilience and power of immigrant communities across our state. In a time when immigrant communities are being disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, NMILC is working to provide holistic assistance and advocacy that go beyond legal assistance and representation, bringing a holistic, client-centered approach to meet clients’ needs.
